The film, directed by Vishnuvardhan, was a huge success and is still a favorite among many of the actor’s fans today.

Ajith fans and moviegoers may now watch the film on the big screen again. The film Billa will be rereleased on May 1, 2024, to commemorate Ajith Kumar’s birthday. Ajith Kumar’s Billa is being re-released.

According to an X (previously Twitter) post by industry tracker Ramesh Bala, the film Billa is planned to re-release in Tamil Nadu on about 150 theaters.

Furthermore, this re-release is sure to become a major celebration for the actor’s admirers, as May 1 is also the superstar’s 53rd birthday.

Billa, starring Ajith Kumar, is an approved replica of the 1980 Rajinikanth film of the same name, which in turn was a remake of Amitabh Bachchan’s 1978 film Don. The film tells the story of David Billa, a known international criminal who hides and operates out of Malaysia.

When the underworld don is assumed dead, Interpol plans to replace him with a lookalike, Saravana Velu, who impersonates the don while suffering from amnesia. The rest of the film concentrates on Velu’s efforts to assist the police while remaining undetected as an impostor.

Ajith Kumar is poised to return to the big screen with his upcoming film, Vidaa Muyarchi, directed by Magizh Thirumeni. The action thriller is now in development, with Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Sarja, Regina Cassandra, and Arav confirmed as cast members.

The majority of the film was shot in Azerbaijan, with only a few additional schedules remaining. In addition, the actor has planned his next picture, Good Bad Ugly, which will be directed by Adhik Ravichandran, who previously worked on Mark Antony.
