G.V. Prakash Kumar is a talented music composer who recently received the National Film Award for his work on the film Soorarai Pottru. The music director has also appeared in several films and has other projects in the works.
G.V. Prakash Kumar did the soundtrack for one of the most popular films, Ayirathil Oruvan. Many people’s playlists still include the record. After years of release, the film directed by Selvaraghavan and starring actor Karthi is being acclaimed for its contribution to the historical-fantasy genre.
There was also word that the filmmaker plans to produce Ayirathil Oruvan II, as the first installment concludes with a foreshadowing of the second.
When asked if he had discussed the sequel with the composer replied, “They discussed it and agreed that Dhanush sir would do it. It’s a massive project with a hefty budget, so I’ll be overjoyed if it happens. I’m excited about it just as much as you are”
Over the years, the composer has worked on several popular albums and is set to play his debut live performance, Aayirathi Oruvan, in Coimbatore. The performance is slated to take place in a few days, and before of the event, the music composer spoke with the press and media, sharing some intriguing facts about his work as a composer and planned projects.
