The ‘Nayagan’ combo reunites for the film after 36 years apart. Their reunion has been provisionally branded ‘KH 234,’ and pre-production work on the film has yet to be finished. The early word on ‘KH 234’ is that Nayanthara is in discussions to play the female lead in the Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam flick. Previously, it was reported that the makers of ‘KH 234’ were looking for Trisha to play the female protagonist, and the actress was supposed to reunite with Kamal Haasan for the third time following ‘Manmadhan Ambu’ and ‘Thoongavanam’.
Kamal Haasan completed the ‘Indian 2’ shooting in South Africa on Tuesday. He will soon complete his duties in the picture. Meanwhile, Ulaganayagan has launched a new magnum opus project with Mani Ratnam, tentatively titled ‘KH234’.
The team reunites 36 years after the cult masterpiece ‘Nayakan’. Raaj Kamal Films International will finance KH234 and AR Rahman will compose the music. Previously, it was reported that the makers of KH 234 were looking for Trisha to play the female protagonist, and that the actress will share screen time with Kamal Haasan for the third movie.
According to new rumours, the crew is in negotiations with Nayanthara to portray the main woman. It is unknown if Trisha would be replaced or if the film will have both female characters in same movie. If everything goes as planned, this will be Ulaganayagan and Lady Superstar’s debut collaboration. The film is set to begin production this year and will be released in 2024.
