Vetrimaaran and Dhanush are now two of the most promising names in Tamil cinema. Vetrimaaran has already established himself as one of the country’s top personalities, with back-to-back critically and commercially successful films.

The celebrity filmmaker and actor are apparently preparing to collaborate for the sixth time on a film set in the Kolar Gold Fields (KGF).

In response to a query concerning the plot of his next film Thangalaan , producer K.E. Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green told media, “Vetrimaaran is ready to commence project on a KGF film starring Dhanush.” Vetrimaaran’s film will be based on his study and discoveries regarding the location, whereas Pa Ranjith’s Thangalaan will be based on his findings. Both films may contain similar elements, but what matters is how they present these elements from their respective points of view.”

Vetrimaaran is now preoccupied with a number of projects. He just released Viduthalai Part 1, which was well appreciated by reviewers and audiences alike. He is also working on Viduthalai Part 2, which is due out shortly. He has also committed to Vaadi Vaasal, a film starring Tamil actor Suriya that is now in pre-production. There are also allegations that he has signed Telugu actor Jr NTR for a film, although no official confirmation has been made.

Dhanush, on the other hand, is now working on many projects. He is currently filming Captain Miller, directed by Arun Matheswaran. He also has D50, directed by himself, and an unnamed project with Mari Selvaraj in the works.
