After three and a half decades apart, iconic combo Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam return for their highly awaited action flick, Thug Life.

After 37 years apart, Universal Hero Kamal Haasan and maverick filmmaker Mani Ratnam reunited for the film Thug Life. The initial glance, which was released on Kamal’s birthday, went viral.

The makers recently announced that outstanding actors Joju George and Gautham Karthik had joined the film’s cast. 

The film also stars Trisha Krishnan, Dulquer Salmaan, and Jayam Ravi in key parts, and the production expanded significantly with the addition of Joju George and Gautham Karthik.

The film is being produced by Kamal Haasan, Mani Ratnam, R. Mahendran, and Siva Ananth under the labels Raaj Kamal International Films and Madras Talkies. Udhayanidhi Stalin is the presenter. The music is being composed by AR Rahman.

The film is Kamal Haasan’s 234th feature, and it marks his return to Ratnam’s production company following their legendary collaboration with Nayakan in 1987.

In the trailer for Thug Life, Kamal Haasan plays Rangaraya Sakthivel Nayakan, a thug known as Kayalpattu Kaaran. The trailer also shows Haasan in the flick with long hair and tough clothing.
